WIFA Adopts New Regulations to Strengthen Women’s Presence in Global Football
Geneva – The WIFA Football Federation announced today the adoption of a new package of regulatory measures aimed at strengthening the role of women within the sporting ecosystem and providing female referees and administrators with greater and more influential responsibilities in upcoming sporting events and competitions.
This initiative seeks to foster a stronger female presence in football by encouraging the participation of a greater number of women’s football teams worldwide in friendly matches and continental tournaments. The new framework is expected to broaden opportunities for women’s involvement and contribute to the continued development of the game at all levels.
In a press statement issued today from the Federation’s headquarters in Geneva, WIFA confirmed that the next phase will focus on the formal implementation and publication of these regulations.
The Federation’s Media Office explained that the new measures will directly support WIFA’s institutions and governing bodies in advancing their strategic objectives and overseeing the successful execution of key initiatives. These initiatives encompass sporting, humanitarian, capacity-building, and leadership-development programs designed to enhance the role and capabilities of women within the football sector.
The Federation emphasized that these reforms reflect its ongoing commitment to promoting inclusivity, expanding opportunities for women, and fostering sustainable growth across the global football community.
Envision your goals, shape your journey, and chase them with unyielding passion.
